Depp (and Al Pacino) to direct Amedeo Modigliani film

Johnny is going to direct his first movie after “the Brave” 25 years ago, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Johnny is set to get behind the camera for Modigliani, about Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani, and will co-produce alongside Al Pacino and Barry Navidi.

Based on the play by Dennis McIntyre and adapted for the screen by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowskithe film will tell the story of the painter and sculptor in Paris in 1916. Production is set to start in Europe in the spring of 2023, with casting to be revealed shortly.

The saga of Mr. Modigliani’s life is one that I’m incredibly honored, and truly humbled, to bring to the screen. It was a life of great hardship, but eventual triumph — a universally human story all viewers can identify with.

said Depp, who produces for IN.2, the European arm of his production company Infinitum Nihil.

Anne Heche dies in car crash

We are deeply sorry to hear that Anne Heche did not survive her car crash last Friday August 5. She was critically injured and did not regain consciousness after the crash. She leaves two sons.The news was confirmed by a representative for her family to the US online media outlet TMZ, who said in a statement:

“We have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.”

Anne Heche starred aside Johnny Depp in the movie Donnie Brasco.
