About the Film
Hyde is a bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This two-volume graphic-novel series imagines a world in which Mr. Hyde has finally triumphed over his Dr. Jekyll alter ego, free at last to unleash his darkest impulses without restraint.
Set in the shadowy sewers of Victorian London, Hyde experiments with a corrupting serum to transform others into versions of himself — a chilling story that plunges into the very depths of human nature. Johnny Depp, who co-owns the property alongside Ridley Scott and Mechanical Cake, lends his likeness to the title character and provides creative input across every aspect of the project.

Johnny Depp is the face of Mr. Hyde — he created the character’s look, provides his likeness, and is a co-owner and creative force on the series. It grew out of Depp’s collaboration with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions and Jesse Negron’s Mechanical Cake, and was unveiled with a 35-page online preview and a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
