The trial of the Sparrow and the Magpie

We’re happy that this difficult chapter now lies behind Johnny, but the Depp-Heard trial certainly left its mark on many of us. And sometimes, even difficult experiences inspire the most unexpected creative projects…

One of them recently landed in our inbox: The Trial of the Sparrow and the Magpie, a short and wonderfully quirky rhyming fable by Swedish writer and longtime Johnny Depp admirer Natalie Sand.

Natalie has transformed certain events into a fictional animal tale, complete with rhyme, humour and illustrated characters. And yes – there is a certain little sparrow with a ponytail that fans might find rather familiar. Of course 😉 any resemblance to actual events, locales, or persons is coincidental 😉 😉 Or as she wrote

It is a short illustrated rhyming fable inspired by the Depp-Heard trial, retold through fictional animal characters. It is meant to be a light-hearted and slightly quirky little book for people who followed the trial and will recognise some of the references along the way.

The graphics are so cute and the rhymes are worth a read. Here’s one crop:

So let’s turn this sad chapter of his life into something worth a smile – you can buy it at amazon. Also a wonderful gift idea
