About the Film

The Carnival at the End of Days is an upcoming apocalyptic comedy from director Terry Gilliam. In it, a disillusioned God, fed up with humanity, resolves to wipe the slate clean and start over — and it falls to none other than Satan to try to save mankind from extinction.

The project reunites Johnny Depp with Gilliam, his Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus collaborator, as part of a starry ensemble. As with many Gilliam productions, the film has been some years in the making.
