Johnny Depp, Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines were in Little Rock Saturday night for an event to support the West Memphis Three.
Twenty five hundred people crammed into the the Robinson Center for a unique jam session, paying 25 dollars each to help the men with their legal defense.
In 1993, the bodies of three eight-year-old boys Steve Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore were found stripped and hogtied in a ditch.
Authorities arrested Damien Echols (18), Jessie Misskelley (17) and Jason Baldwin (16) for the deaths. The West Memphis Three then spent the next 17 years in prison for murder.
In a press conference Saturday afternoon, Vedder and Maines joined Echols wife, Lorri Davis, and others to decry the process that sent the men to prison.
’93I’m here because three innocent people are losing years of their life,’94 said Maines.
“I’m also here to show my support for the West Memphis Three,’94 Vedder added, ’93And try to raise the visibility of the case at this crucial time… Why are they innocent? Because there’s nothing that says they’re guilty.’94
Echols’ lawyers say he wants a re-trial based on new DNA tests, forensic evidence and information that proves the West Memphis Three are innocent. The Arkansas Supreme Court will hear the case on September 30th.
’93Arkansas take Action” founder Capi Peck also called on Arkansans to get involved.
“We’re not going to go away. And we’re going to speak out. And these young men will be free,’94 Peck said.

Most people ’93fans’94 who come to this and other fan sites, view Johnny Depp as an image on a photo or film screen. The diehard fans spend hours upon hours on the internet chasing down every photo and scouring the message boards for any piece of new information on Johnny’92s whereabouts and new projects. Being a fan and showing support for one’92s craft is a wonderful thing, except when it crosses the lines and privacy is blurred. This usually happens when the object becomes so impersonable to the viewer because the humanity has left due to image affection. As of late on the internet, Johnny’92s privacy and those around him have been breeched badly with posting of pictures and links to sites that have pictures of his private life and family. Johnny is surrounded everyday but those that call him friend and family, everyday ’93almost normal’94 people that enjoy his company as a man and human being. Johnny has been besieged by paparazzi and bottom feeders who thrive on accessing his life. When these photos and EVEN the links are posted, the individuals and sites are actually assisting in this act. It has been expressed Directly by a few close to Johnny who have been with him as of late, that Johnny is offended greatly by these actions! This is one reason many photos and new posts will not be found here’85
BECAUSE of this JDorg sticks to its written policy and standards and now has been asked to pull down the recent photos of Johnny with his wonderful friend Jonathan Shaw who did not and will never give permission to other sites than johnny-depp.org for photos to be posted there. All of these feelings and opinions have been asked and shared to JDorg staff Directly!!
Also a Facebook page is NOT a public venue. It is a personal space that should be respected.
We at jdorg would like to humbly ask all other sites and admirers to respect this privacy and ownership of photos and also to remember that Johnny is NOT just a wonderful 2d image or a ’93demigod’94 for those who would follow him throughout, he is a father and a partner and a friend to many who find these actions inexcusable.

An inside source told us that after two days on the water in San Pedro filming is on schedule. Johnny has two days off, but everything seems to be a bit rushed because they spent some extra time in Hawaii. After San Pedro filming in LA (studio) is scheduled. And after next week they’re moving on to Edinburgh (Scotland).
Johnny has some more new ink: The Gonzo symbol at his left shin with some writing above it, something what looks like a face also with some words at outside of his left forearm and something we weren’92t able to see clearly at the inside of his right upper arm. We hope to get some clear photos soon.

‘The Tourist’ Vacations in December
by Ray Subers
The Tourist
August 17, 2010
Sony Pictures announced this afternoon that the Johnny Depp-Angelina Jolie romantic thriller The Tourist is now set to open Dec. 10. This comes a day after Sony also shuffled Underworld 4 and added Roland Emmerich’s Anonymous to their upcoming slate.
A remake of French thriller Anthony Zimmer, The Tourist features Depp as an American vacationing in Venice, Italy, who, while attempting to romance Jolie’s character, becomes embroiled in a web of international intrigue and suspense. This year has already been a good one for Depp and Jolie, as they have each had hits in Alice in Wonderland ($334.2 million) and Salt ($104.2 million and counting), respectively. Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who won the Best Foreign Language Oscar in 2007 for Cold War drama The Lives of Others, The Tourist will debut opposite The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and David O. Russell’s The Fighter.

Hawaii location shooting ends on Disney’92s Pirates of the Caribbean 4

It’s time to bid “Aloha!” to Capt. Jack Sparrow and his crew.
Hawaii location shooting ends today on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment in Walt Disney Pictures mega-blockbuster action-comedy series.
’93Mahalo to everyone in Hawaii who made our PIRATES 4 shoot such a great one,’94 executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer wrote on his Twitter account this morning. ’93You taught us ’93aloha’94 isn’92t just a word.’94
Right back ‘atcha, Mr. Bruckheimer! (The photos you see here are his.)
The Pirates 4 production celebrated the end of Hawaii filming last night with a hush-hush wrap party ’85 location still unknown to this uninvited writer. The Pirates 4 crew and cast’97which includes Johnny Depp reprising his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as Capt. Hector Barbossa and Penelope Cruz as new Capt. Jack love interest/foe Angelica’97now moves on to California and London for more filming.
Hawaii location filming of Pirates 4 began June 14 on Kauai’92s Napali Coast, continuing at multiple sites on the island through late July. The production then moved to Oahu, with the bulk of filming taking place at Kaneohe’s Heeia Pier aboard the Queen Anne’92s Revenge (upon its Hawaii arrival, mistakenly believed to be the previous films’ Black Pearl). Other Oahu production locations included Halona Beach Cove’97aka From Here to Eternity Beach, where Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster famously rolled in the surf in the 1953 movie.
Save for a handful of evenings out around town, the cast largely kept a low profile while on Oahu. Star Johnny Depp was the probably the most visible, popping up occasionally at a handful of Honolulu restaurants and lounges. It’s not a stretch to say Hawaii Pirates fans will likely miss Depp most. Over the last two weeks of Hawaii filming, Depp made a regular habit of shaking hands with fans gathered at Heeia Pier as he arrived for work.
As crowds numbering in the hundreds gathered at the pier each evening, videos like the one below of nighttime filming on the Queen Anne’s Revenge quickly began showing up all over YouTube.
When will fans of the gloriously charismatic and perennially inebriated Capt. Jack get to see just how terrifically Hawaii subbed for the Caribbean? May 20, 2011, when Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens nationwide at the usual theater near you.
