About the Film
When garden gnomes start mysteriously vanishing all over London, the newly-relocated lovers Gnomeo and Juliet turn to the city’s greatest ornamental detective: Sherlock Gnomes, sworn protector of London’s garden gnomes, and his ever-loyal sidekick Dr. Watson. The trail of clues leads them across famous landmarks in a race to solve the case before every gnome in the city disappears.
As the investigation deepens, it becomes clear that Sherlock’s old nemesis, the vengeful mascot Moriarty, is behind the plot — and Sherlock must confront his own arrogance and mend his neglected friendship with Watson to save the day. This animated sequel to Gnomeo & Juliet again features songs by Elton John.

Johnny Depp lends his voice to Sherlock Gnomes, “the greatest ornamental detective” — a garden-gnome riff on Arthur Conan Doyle’s hero. Depp plays him as a booming, self-important master sleuth whose brilliant deductions are matched only by his blind spot for the feelings of those around him, giving the family comedy its comic engine and its lesson about friendship.
