Secret Window Movie Review by Lindsay

Uncategorized by Martina

SECRET WINDOW
I absolutely love Johnny Depp’s performance as Mort Rainey. It was just spectacular as his character was so complex and I had alot invested in Mort. I love the way the movie is written as it starts out one way and takes a completely unexpected turn at the end. Something that I didn’t expect and really is completely “out there”. I really felt for Mort as he was going through such a messy divorce. And you think all these things are going wrong for him. But, going through the divorce has caused him to use his creative outlet to get some emotions out and develope “Shooter”, a character that you think is another person that does these horrid things. But turns out that it was really Mort going off the deep end, in my personal opinion, from being alone for a long time. I also felt bad for Amy(Mort’s wife played by Maria Bello)because she really still loves Mort and Mort still loves her.Unfortunately, Amy made a mistake and she delt with the consequences. I thought it was really sad that Mort and Amy didn’t work things out. What I found even more shocking was Mort killing her and her boyfriend(Ted played by Timothy Hutton)in the end. And even though Mort totally went off his rocker, I thought Johnny did such a good job in getting the audience to understand where Mort was coming from. He couldn’t do all those bad things physically, but he could make it so it seemed like someone else did using his mind/creative outlet as he has a real battle with himself.

Johnny Sighted in the Windy City

Uncategorized by Martina

Johnny is in Chicago! He is there in preproduction for the Dillinger role in the upcoming movie. Johnny was spotted at an Italian food resturant with a few other actors and of course Mann, dining on pasta and veal. On Friday around midnight he was seen at the Green Mill listening to Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Kurt Elling in his usual fedora. On Sunday he was seen eating at Gibsons in a private dining room. Of course the locals there have found Johnny to be his friendly and down to earth self and so far they haven?t bothered him much and it seems respect his privacy. We are sure that Johnny appreciates their politeness.

Depp and Mann Visit Dillinger Farm

General by Martina

Depp and Mann recently visited the farm of
Dillinger’s Nephew Jeff Scalf in Mooresville.
Depp Told Jeff that he would try to reflect
all the sides of John Dillinger while filming
the movie.

While on the farm they did some filming of the
farm inside and out they spent about four hours
getting a feel for the town.

Jeff Scalf said Depp and Mann were both knowledgable
about Dillinger’s past and they both were very respectful
and down to earth.

Filming is set to begin this spring, but Scalf said Mann
and Depp did not talk about whether they would return
to Mooresville for the movie. Filming will be done in Chicago and some in Crown Point.
