Johnny apologizes for Rape comment

General by Martina

According to Foxnews.com (and many other sites), Johnny today apologized for the comment he did in the recent Vanity Fair issue.

“I am truly sorry for offending anyone in any way. I never meant to. It was a poor choice of words on my part in an effort to explain a feeling. I understand there is no comparison and I am very regretful. In an effort to correct my lack of judgment, please accept my heartfelt apology,” he apologized, after the group Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), but also many websites and even commentators here on the site, had spoken out against Johnny’s comment regarding how he feels when posing for photo shoots or similar.

RAINN “appreciated and accepted” Johnny’s apology, and we hope, all those who ever felt offended by Johnny’s personal choice of words and doubted in Johnny’s humbleness and good soul, will accept it, too.

Director Bruce Robinson whom blew our minds, confused our souls and
scared the living daylights out of conservative’s in the eighties with his
film ,” Withnail & I ” is the perfect director to deal with this material.
It stars and is Produced by Johnny Depp, whom was a good friend and
kindred spirit of ‘ Gonzo ‘ : writer of Politico, Rock & Roll, Drug taking,
booze ( Rum in this case) drinking fame or infamy really . Check out his
books, articles and Taschen’s picture book with photos of Hunter’s exploits,
Depp wrote the Intro which is heartfelt and personal. We figure this feature

The Rum Diary Back-Story: Episode One

News by Andrea

For forty years Hunter S. Thompson struggled to finish his first novel – The Rum Diary – and then he fought until he died to make it a movie. Johnny Depp promised Hunter the book would become a film, and now it is opening in theaters in the United States on October 28, 2011. So it seems fitting to finally show and tell what I know about The Rum Diary and have been saving for many years in my archives. I purposely held back many of these Rum Diary scenes from my fourth film about Hunter – Animals, Whores & Dialogue – hoping that we could do something a bit different with them, like this series of “webisodes” – short, self-contained videos for the world wide web that tell the story of the making of The Rum Diary first as a book and then as a movie from Hunter’s point of view.
