In some (written) German interviews, all to be said to be exclusive, so we don’t know who had it first, Johnny was asked “Isn’t it time you make a movie with your wife Vanessa Paradis?” which he answered with “It is already prepared. The movie is called “my American lover”. Vanessa plays the feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren, who dwarfs everything in matter of being a macho.”
On a Swedish site, we found an interview with Lasse Hallstr’f6m (Chocolat, Gilbert Grape), which reads translated “Next year, then follows the “American love” with Hallstr’f6m for the third time to work with Johnny Depp. The story is between Simone de Beauvoir – played by Depp’s wife (Vanessa Paradis) – and his American lover, the writer Nelson Algren…”
So will we probably get our movie with them together at the end?
Johnny will appear on this Saturday’s “48 Hours Mystery” as he makes a plea for a new trial for the West Memphis Three, three teenagers accused of murdering three boys in a satanic ritual in 1994.
As seen in the preview clip you can watch HERE or HERE, Depp says, “I firmly believe Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley are totally innocent. It was a need for swift justice to placate the community.”
