Johnny Depp records in Buenos Aires: historic rock sessions in the studio of his friend Corcho Rodriguez in early February 2025.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor passed through Punta del Este and from there flew to Buenos Aires to record, for the first time in Argentina, at La Rocka Power Studio.

Depp, co-producer of the session with Corcho Rodriguez, put the voice. He was accompanied by Seta Von Gravessen on bass, Gustavo “Colo” Silva on the piano and the Hammond B3 organ (and he also served as musical director), the legendary Sebastian Peycer (member of the mythical Dulces 16 in the early 80s, but also collaborator of Javier Malosetti, Lito Epumer, Luis Salinas and the Touch group, which included Adrian Laies and Ernesto Dmitruk, among others), and ElCorcho Rodriguez and Lisardo Alvarez on the guitars (Alvarez was also in charge of the production of the violas).

Summer days of scorching heat, the kind that those of us who live upon this side of the Río de la Plata are used to live.

Two friends, bound to dissolve into musical notes, to paint the silence with sounds, undefined.

Chords hum, smoldering compositions merging into a sweet breath of sea, of City, of peace and chaos.

They trade their first skins, the love for the craft. They share afternoons, they share garments.

Two friends, and an exchange that binds them ever closer. A transmission that grants strangers to peek, to wander curiously from afar, a boundless brotherhood. Expansion.
Laughter, music, encounters, silences, clothes, stories, time.

We were accomplices, if only for a moment.
We remain with the taste of those dinners we never savored, those laughter we never heard, the never spoken words, yet we know, they’ve existed.
