Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass
About the Film
Now a sea captain in her own right, a grown-up Alice Kingsleigh returns to a changed London before slipping back through a mirror into Underland. There she finds her dear friend the Mad Hatter fading away, heartbroken and convinced that his long-lost family — presumed killed years ago — may still be alive. Desperate to save him, Alice resolves to travel back in time to uncover the truth.
To do so she must borrow the Chronosphere, the miraculous device that powers all time, from the imperious being known as Time himself — putting the whole of Underland in jeopardy. Journeying through the past, Alice witnesses the childhood rift between the White and Red Queens that set everything in motion, and learns that meddling with time carries terrible risks as she races to heal the Hatter and set history right before the clock runs out.

Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp reprises Tarrant Hightopp, the Mad Hatter — and this time the character’s fragile heart is the engine of the whole story. Grieving and “madder than usual,” the Hatter wastes away in the belief that his family is gone, and Depp leans into the role’s emotional vulnerability beneath the flame-haired, gap-toothed whimsy, giving the sequel its melancholy core.
