A few days before, we posted in the news, that Moviefone is going to ask Johnny and Tim Burton some questions sent in by US.

I did send my two questions in. One was “do you sometimes visit fan sites of your own?”.

And guess what? It really has been answered!!!

He in fact visits “fan”sites, but he wouldn’t call us fans, but admirers.

Because of this, we renamed Johnny-Depp.org from “a fansite dedicated to Johnny Depp and his work” to “an admirers’ site dedicated to Johnny Depp and his work”. I hope, you like it, dear admirers, and you, too, Johnny!

The awards season has started:

Johnny was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Sweeney Todd.

Also, Sweeney Todd got nominations in Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble, Tim Burton as Best Director and Edward Sanders as Best Young Actor.

The Awards will be given out January 7th, 2008.

3 days later, January 10th, will be the UK premiere of Sweeney Todd, at the Odean in Leicester Sq. –

Johnny Depp has been named USA network’s “character of the month!” Following in the footsteps of Robert Deniro and Marlon Brando. They will be airing his movies all month and also airing little shorts about him and his works! This is truly Deppcember!
Also,
Johnny and Vanessa were named number 25 on E and Style networks most stylish couples of all time! Congratulations to them! We of course already knew this..

After the writers strike caused Johnny?s current film in India, The Rum Diaries, to stall; he has found a new project with the Oscar nominated director Michael Mann. Mann?s new project is called Public Enemies. It is a depression-era film about the notorious criminals including the bank robber John Dillinger, which will be played by Johnny. According to the Associated Press, Mann and Johnny shook hands and made the deal on Wednesday before the Hollywood premiere of Sweeny Todd. This part will be no stretch for Johnny, who leans toward Dillenger’s style of Dress and cool attitude when it comes to the public eye. Among their other many similarities. So hold on to your hats because Johnny will start to film in Chicago in March..

The third Pirates; At Worlds End DVD was released in the U.S. December 4, 2007. A special two disc set edition was also offered to fans that want to share the behind the scenes secrets of the making of the film. If you are totally into all the Pirates features, you need to try and get ahold of this set. The special features include the great Bloopers: Johnny choking on a glass of drink, Geoffrey Rush losing his hat throughout, Johnny falling off a good 10 foot drop and of course the normal flubs and stutters.
There is also a behind the scenes look at the making of the maelstrom scenes, the sword fights, the digital effects and most of all a special look at Johnny and Keith Richards relationship and great fun they had doing the father and son scene from the film. The features are about two hours long, maybe more and are totally worth the couple extra dollars that you will spend on the two disc set. If you have the ability to watch the movie in blue ray, the special B.R. disc also offers even more features including an interactive ?Liars Dice? game, which includes the great pirates from the film; Marty, Gibbs, Pintel and all the others. This is great, especially for the children, who will sit and have sure fire fun with all their favorite characters challenging them to bet on the dice numbers. The Time We Have All Waited for Has Come!!!!

Last Monday evening was the premiere of Sweeney Todd in New York City at the Ziegfeld Theatre! The red carpet event attracted over five hundred celebraties. Johnny was dressed to the nines and looked wonderful and pleased.
Johnny had actually arrived in New York on Sunday December 2nd where he met with Stephen Sondheim and Tim Burton for a private screening of the film.
After the premiere Johnny,Tim and Cohen attended the afterparty at The Four Seasons restaurant until about one in the morning.
