So far nothing has been officially announced, but this sounds like  we might get an official statement within the next few days.

Director Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer managed to bring the budget down to $215 million, a figure that’s palatable enough for Disney in these uncertain economic times, with John Carter and Oz The Great and Powerful presenting more than enough big-budget risk for the studio right now.

The process of bringing down the budget involved Depp, Verbinski, and Bruckheimer renegotiating their contracts on the film. More importantly, Verbinski overhauled the actual production budget in order to reduce the figure while also retaining the blockbuster spectacle that audiences expect from a reunion of the principal figures behind the the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies…..
