Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet will narrate the IMAX film documentary entitled, Deep Sea 3D, directed by Howard Hall. The film features music by Danny Elfman.

Deep Sea 3D features close up encounters with some of the most strange and exotic sea creatures with every creature dependent on each other for survival, so the cooperation that exists between these ocean dwellers is required for all to flourish and grow.

The film opens March 3, 2006.

Deccan Herald – Panaji, UNI: Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp could well become the star of the Goa International Film Festival of India (IFFI) next year.

Renowned film-maker Shyam Benegal has advised Festival Director Afzal Amanullah to invite Depp for IFFI 2006 when the actor is here in November next year shooting ‘Shantaram’, an adaptation of Gregory David Roberts’s best-selling book by the same title.

‘Shantaram’, which will be produced by Depp (who will also act in the film), is about an Australian convict who escapes to Mumbai in the 1980s where he sets up a medical practice and his adventures in Afghanistan.

“That’s why they should have the long lens – just make sure that you’re really far away because if I’m able to get my hands on you I’ll swallow your nose. I’d bite your nose off and swallow it.”

ComingSoon – Source: Variety December 1, 2005 – Peter Weir will direct Shantaram, the Warner Bros. adaptation of the Gregory David Roberts novel that will star Johnny Depp. Variety says Weir will develop the script with Eric Roth. The studio hopes to begin production late next year.

The film is being produced by Initial Entertainment Group’s Graham King along with Depp’s Infinitum Nihil and Plan B’s Brad Pitt.

TIM BURTON’s deliciously dark adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory won the Bafta Kids’ Vote in the 10th British Academy Children’s Film and Television Awards yesterday – By Dalya Alberge for The Times.

As his screen wife, Pike only gets one retrospective love scene with him, because he has long become bored with her and moved on to other things. Like the rest of the film, however, it’s quite a raunchy one, with the two of them smartly dressed in a moving carriage, Depp’s hand up her skirt, while she murmurs obscene encouragement. “We all dream about making love with Johnny Depp!” she laughs. “But that scene was funny because the carriage was so bumpy. It was tiny and the director was doing the camerawork in there with us. So his camera was bobbing away… Still, it’s a brilliant example of how things are much sexier if you don’t see them. It’s more sexy than making love in a bed would have been. We don’t even kiss, and it’s so erotic.
