La Stampa reports, that Johnny will be in Turin, Italy, to shoot some scenes for his new film “Modi” on February 20 and 21.

Bringing him to the city is Andrea Iervolino, a long-time friend of his, who produces the film with ILBE (Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S.p.A.), the company he shares with Lady Bacardi. A surprise coup, destined to further strengthen Turin’s position as the Italian vice-capital of cinema.

After having set most of the sequences in a Paris recreated in Budapest (plus a few scenes in the United States, to meet Al Pacino’s needs), Depp now arrives in Turin to make use of the cutting-edge technologies of Prodea’s virtual studios, in Mirafiori.

Let’s hope, this is true and watch out if you’re in Turin 🙂

Italian actress Luisa Ranieri has joined the cast of the film “Modì” about Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. The film has started shooting in Budapest and is directed by Johnny Depp.

She is starring in “Modì” alongside fellow Italian Riccardo Scamarcio, who plays the bad boy painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France and became famous for the groundbreaking modern style of his portraits and nudes and Al Pacino, who plays international art collector Maurice Gangnat.

Luisa Ranieri is playing Rosalie, the owner of an Italian café in Paris whom Modigliani painted.
