Orlando Slags Off Johnny

General by Martina

In an effort to poke fun at his ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ co-star, Orlando Bloom said that it was him and not Johnny Depp whom the girls were lusting after on the film sets.

In the first episode of Ricky Gervais’s award-winning comedy, he plays a vain actor who can’t believe an extra doesn’t fancy him.

Orlando tells the extra, played by Scots actress Ashley Jensen, that the ladies were all over him on the set of Pirates Of The Caribbean and they completely ignored Johnny.

Bloom is one of several stars lined up for the second series starting September 14.

Winona Ryder was ’embarrassingly dramatic’ after her split with Johnny Depp

General by Martina

ANI: Calling herself embarrassingly dramatic at the age of 19 after her break up with Johnny Depp, ‘Autumn in New York’ star Winona Ryder has said that she tried to turn into an alcoholic recluse to save herself from the heartache.

A heart broken teenage Ryder, who dated the super cool pirate for four years, hinted that she resorted to sensational behaviour after her “fiercely deep love” with Depp came to an end.

The Hollywood actress further revealed that she descended into wallowing after they split in 1993, spending endless nights alone listening to Tom Waits records.

“I was embarrassingly dramatic at the time. But you have to remember I was only 19 years old”, Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

“I attempted being an alcoholic for two weeks, spending a lot of time in my hotel room, drinking screwdrivers from the mini-bar, smoking cigarettes and listening to Tom Waits”, she added.

Swashbucklers Amaze Entertainment and Beuna Vista Games

General Public Enemies by Martina

Dead Man’s Chest is the perfect example of how film based games should be developed – By Tobias Rowe for Ferrago.com

You will take control of the film’s notorious Captain Jack Sparrow, an insane pirate with a more than fond affection for Jamaican rum. At every island and location you will have to face different enemies, solve various puzzles and journey your way through dungeons, jungles and swamps.

Jack Sparrow looks fantastic for one and it is shocking to see that his game imitation looks near identical to the real life Johnny Depp.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is one of the few film-based games I have not been able to put down. An adventure you cannot miss…

Depp to carry out Brando’s dying wish

General by Martina

RTE.ieEntertainment Actor Johnny Depp has said that he is planning to take a break from Hollywood movies to star in a stage production of Hamlet, in order to fulfil the dying wish of film legend Marlon Brando.

“It’s one of the things that keep ricocheting around in my head,” Depp says, to appear in the William Shakespeare play just as Brando always wanted to do. Depp claims it was his biggest regret. “He told me that by the time he had got to the point where he felt he could do Hamlet, it was too late. So he said: ‘Do it now, do it while you can’.”

“And I would like to do it – although it’s one of the more frightening ideas I’ve had. I think as an actor it is good to feel the fear of failing miserably.” He added, “I think you should take that risk. Fear is a necessary ingredient in everything I do.”
