The Time We Have All Waited for Has Come!!!!
Last Monday evening was the premiere of Sweeney Todd in New York City at the Ziegfeld Theatre! The red carpet event attracted over five hundred celebraties. Johnny was dressed to the nines and looked wonderful and pleased.
Johnny had actually arrived in New York on Sunday December 2nd where he met with Stephen Sondheim and Tim Burton for a private screening of the film.
After the premiere Johnny,Tim and Cohen attended the afterparty at The Four Seasons restaurant until about one in the morning.

On November 26th, Johnny also appeared at the London Press Conference for Sweeney Todd – the Demon Barber of the Fleet Street (the New York Premiere is gonna be at the Ziegfeld theatre at 8pm on Monday Dec. 3rd.).

Tim Burton received the Golden Lion lifetime achievement award from Johnny Depp, in a red carpet event.
Johnny’s words, when he gave the Lion to Tim Burton:
“Tim is a rare breed in today’s cinema: he is a true original, a true artist, a true auteur. He’s my favorite director and friend. So… let’s give him the thing, man.”
He looks great, as expected, just with shorter hair than expected:

In the documentary “When the road blends: The Tales of Gypsy Caravan” Johnny Depp puts in an appearance, having got to know Taraf de Haïdouks while filming The Man Who Cried. “Johnny is the one who basically puts into words the goal of the film,” says Dellal, “which is to make people see that what you believed about gypsies your whole life is not true.”

A new era begins: the At World’s End Era.
Yesterday in the evening…for us here in Europe today in the very morning in the night…was the Worldpremiere for the third Pirates of the Carribean part “At World’s End” in Disneyland. Johnny was – obviously and of course – there, looking better than ever.

Johnny appeared in an interview on Good Morning America this morning, talking about Pirates 3, his life, his career and his daughter Lily-Rose – smiling a lot.
The interview was made at The Dorchester in London on May 7th.

Oh, and if you already asked yourself, what happened to the LA Modernism Show Johnny was to host as we reported here – he had to cancel due to time problems.
Johnny is scheduled to host the gala opening of this year’s LA Modernism show on May 4th. Read more about the event on the official page . All proceeds from this event will go to the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. Read more about the event here
On April 11th, 2007, Jo, Lisa, Ann, Natz, Mel, Lester and Patsie met Johnny at the Pinewood studios – one more meeting of 8 for some of them.
