Exclusive poster reveal: ‘Lone Ranger’ rides again
The new poster guys are Armie Hammer, who saddles up as the masked man, and Johnny Depp, along for the ride as Tonto.
“In our film, the Lone Ranger is a lot more rugged than in any version of the character we’ve seen in the past,” says producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “This is not your father’s Lone Ranger. And Armie looks great with that 5 o’clock shadow.”
Helena Bonham Carter, who plays a brothel madam who helps the two find a brutal gang of criminals, says the squared-jawed Hammer (The Social Network, J Edgar) fits the famous mask perfectly.
“He makes for one sexy Lone Ranger,” says Bonham Carter.
Depp’s poster shows his unique take on Tonto, who is a Comanche shaman.
“This is not the look you want to wake up to in the middle of the night and see hovering over you,” Depp told USA TODAY from The Lone Ranger set.

A new trailer for the film will be revealed on April 17, followed by a global Q&A with Depp, Hammer, Bruckheimer and Verbinski.

Those who have been with us for the last 9 years of course knew it: yesterday’s news about the Costume Test for Black Mass was our 2013 April Fools Joke. Thanks to Nadine for the great photoshop manipulation (who can find the original pic?), and remember, this is how it really could look. I hope, they don’t show the old Bulger in the movie!
Black Mass Costume Test
Remember we had the Mad Hatter pic first?
Now we are happy to announce, that we got – exclusively – by our internal source – a first Costume test pic of Johnny as Whitey Bulger in Black Mass, the time when Whitey Bulger was arrested age 81. Unexpectedly, they did the costume test for the “old Bulger” before the Trancendence shooting even started. Maybe, because they will only have Johnny’s voice in Trancendence, or the character is also hair-less, so they already did/will do the next days some Bulger scenes? We don’t know any more details yet, but we hope we can provide you with more info very soon.
