It’s official, The Lone Ranger will shoot in New Mexico; Johnny Depp to play Tonto
The shooting starts in February for the long-awaited Lone Ranger movie starring Johnny Depp as Tonto, a project that once appeared to be doomed.
On Friday, Gov. Susana Martinez announced the movie will begin production in New Mexico.

Danny Elfman Talks Dark Shadows
movie composer Danny Elfman recently chatted about the possibility of including Robert Cobert’s original theme tune from the series. It was previously reported that the piece would feature, but Elfman was unsure if it would feature in the new score.

“The Rum Diary” starring Johnny Depp on Blu-ray February 2012
In an early alert to retailers Sony has made public their plans to bring the 2011 Bruce Robinson directed film “The Rum Diary” starring Johnny Depp and Aaron Eckhart to Blu-ray Disc on February 14th, 2011. For those who don’t know, the film is based on the debut novel by the late writer Hunter S. Thompson. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have yet to be detailed but stay tuned. The title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $24.99 price tag. Shock Rocker Alice Cooper to Appear in Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows’
Alice Cooper has long been considered one of the preeminent denizens of the dark. With his lifelong commitment to horror makeup, heavy metal music, and golf, it couldn’t have happened any other way. So when director Tim Burton needed a music act to appear in his upcoming adaptation of the old, spooky soap Dark Shadows, Cooper seemed like an easy fit. Hero Complex reports that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is set for a cameo in the film where he will be performing his hit song ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy.’
