On April 11th, Jo, Lisa, Ann, Natz, Mel, Lester and Patsie met Johnny at the Pinewood studios – one more meeting of 8 for some of them.
Thanks to all, and especially to Jo and Patsie for allowing me to use their pics and report.

Here is the exiting report of Jo:

“(…) We went to PW (Sweeney Todd filming) last week and were told to come back (just us, noone else) by Johnny’s bodyguard as he didn’t have time to stop that day. And we weren’t sure whether to believe him! Sorry Jerry!

We got to Pinewood (thats Ann, Natz, her twin Mel and myself at about 2.15pm. We split up as normal, myself and Ann on one entrance, the twins on the other. Lester arrived at 3pm and Lisa and PAtsie joined us at 3pm. Lisa went to the other entrance, Lester and Patsie joined me and Ann. And we waited! Finally, Johnny’s car arrived at about 6pm. And he wasn’t in it!

Jerry got out and came over to us. He took our stuff off of us to get signed and told us Johnny would sign them for us and then he’d bring him round to us for a chat and photos. He had some pirates stuff to do so he couldnt sign everything for us in front of us as it would have taken to long. So, we gave Jerry our pics and he took em.

After mara got some curious emails with a name in the quotes and contacted me confused, I rechecked the script and realized, while building in the captcha I made a mistake with the varibales.
So…if you sent in a quote recently (since the captcha image is below), please resend it, it is all my fault (blame me!!).

Also, we are looking for some high quality fansites as affiliates,
if you have one and are interested, please ask!
But it should have at least an own domain.

Thanks to Sarfania, who sorted all the downloads Charly and I had uploaded within the time, the downloads section is done now.
Because we lost the old database I don’t know whom to credit anymore. If you know, who did them, please tell me. We try to readd them within the time.

This is a test run first, if our bandwidth can live with that many downloads, but feel free to look into it and donate, if you have additional video clips.

Also, again:
we added a comments function at the bottom of every single site, so you can give comments to what is on the sites, if there are mistakes, if you have suggestions, if you like that page especially, if you have additional info,
all this can be written into the comments.

We are remaking the galleries/magazines section the next time, so you may not be able to reach them all.

As you may have realized, we changed the navigation of the site a little bit, so that you can now chose, if you prefer to show all links in the navigation or to just show your preferred categories.
This only works, if Javascript is enabled, otherwise you’ll see everything as always.

Feedback is welcome, maybe nobody likes the new feature, then I’ll remove it again.

Another new feature is, that you can now comment every single site of Johnny-Depp.org through the Comments link at the very bottom of the site. So we know what we can make better, what you like, if there are any mistakes.

Sadly, something bad happened:
by editing in the database I accidentially deleted the fanlisting tables. I could put up a backup and readd some members through the emails I still had, but if you joined the last month, please take a look if you are on the list and if not, please join again!
I’m sorry, I’ll not be that silly again…I hope.

The site has now moved over to the new own server,

as you may see on some sites, it still is all a mess, because I have to change the paths and stuff.
ONLY SKINS 1 and 2 work yet, the rest will work in a few days, it would be a lot of work to change them and then change them back.

The domain will follow in a few days once its registrar had the time to do it.

At least in a few days everything should be as always and we can start making this site bigger and better – and even the downloads will be able to come up now.

The new server costs 85$ the month, which is already a super special price made by surpasshosting for us, but anyway it is much and hard to pay,
so if you do not need to care about a few dollars more or less, I’d be super happy for some donations by paypal -just to the email admin@johnny-depp.org
Every donator over 10$ can call me by email to get a personal jdorg email, if you like.

Today johnny-depp.org and the board will move over to the new server 🙂

So if we should be temporarily offline, do not wonder.

Please do not send in any interactive stuff, do not post in the guestbook, because you may already post it AFTER the move is done and I did not yet put a forwarding on.

You should be able to find the site and board at the new server afterwards, so you can already take a look over there if something happened.

There we are –

JDorg is now THREE years old, created February 8th, 2004, under the domain johnnydepp-archives.com.

And in these three years, we have become SO big…with SO MANY visitors, that we have to move over to an own server.

This is very expensive, and we have some trouble moving, because the new server will come end of March, so that we’ll move the main site to a temporary server,
but leave the board here, which will be reachable under a new address for that time with just a forwarding from the domain…and some days maybe jdorg will be reachable under another address….

Also it can (and will) make some trouble while we are moving, the site may not be reachable for several days, while we change where the domain points to.

But we will be back at the end with the downloads section at least in April – Sarfania is already sorting them into categories!!!

Just that you don’t wonder if jdorg is AWAY suddenly.
