Terry Rossio, one of the writers of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, has broken his silence on the fourth Pirates movie, and wrote in his forum at wordplayer.com
For the record, none of the recent Pirates 4 rumors have any truth, including the so-called record 50 million dollar payday for Depp.
Some pretty funny stuff, though. Sacha Cohen? Tim Burton? Studios are way too protective of their franchises for that sort of thing.
While filming for Alice in Wonderland in LA Matt Lucas and Johnny have formed a firm friendship and Lucas said of plans for a Little Britian film he says “We thought it would be interesting to make a movie where we play lots of characters.” Johnny is a fan of UK comedy and a movie insider says “Johnny was laying it on thick saying how much he enjoyed the first episode of the series. “He said he would do anything to have a part in the movie.”

There’s something about the mixture of Murder mysteries
and the occult because when Johnny’s involved it seems
to work well with a graphic, novel adaptation.
First From Hell, now Rex Mundi.
“Johnny has an interest in the Templar Knights,”
Radical Publishing president Barry Levine says, he is
co-producing the “Rex Mundi” film with Depps’
Infinitum Nihil production company .
“He loves that kind of research and all that stuff.
He’s not so much a comics guy as much of a story guy.
If it’s a good story, it doesn’t matter.”
“People don’t want to see what they already know,”
Levine said. “People are open-minded, and they want
to be entertained, so this is a new opportunity for that.”
Screenwriter Jim Uhls has changed the story somewhat,
although Depp’s character Dr. Julien Sauniere will
still be leading.
“The second draft is now coming in from Jim,”
Levine said, “and Warner Bros. is pretty excited
about it. They came up with a couple of names
for directors, so now we just need Johnny to
look at the list. It all begins and ends with
Johnny. He’s got to be happy with the script,
and he gave his notes, so we’ll see what
happens next.”

John Woo is set to direct the comic book adaptation
Caliber. The film is a three way co-production of
Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil, Barry Levine’s Radical
Comics and Lion Rock, the U.S. Based shingle that Woo
runs with longstanding partner Terence Chang.
It appears as though Johnny Depp will be co-producing
the film. The word on the Internet streets is
that Depp?s a big fan of the comic book, perhaps even
anxious to play the starring role? If so, it?ll probably
be a while. Woo?s currently working on the second part
of ?Red Cliff?.

and Graham King’s GK Films along with Warner Bros.
It is Based on the 60’s daytime supernatural soap opera.
The new buzz however is that No cast is that Tim Burton is set to direct and John August is set to write the script.this of course is not confirmed in any means but it is still newsworthy as it would be a great project for our duo to embark upon.
