Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp have teamed up to cover Carly Simon’s 1972 hit “You’re So Vain,” HuffPost Entertainment exclusively reports.

The controversial singer and eccentric actor have long been friends. Depp invited Manson to be his guest at a “Pirates Of The Caribbean” premiere, and now, it seems, they’ve sung a duet.

Their cover of “You’re So Vain” will be included on Manson’s upcoming album, Born Villain, due out May 1.

Johnny Depp, together with other celebrities like Meryl Streep New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, has signed to support the Weinstein Co to get a lower rating on the teen-focused documentary Bully which is to be released on March 30.

Lee Hirsch’s documentary on bullying in American schools has been rated R, which restricts children under 17 from seeing it without an adult. The Motion Picture Association of America, which oversees movie ratings, cited language as the reason for the R rating.

Disney is gearing up to start production next year on Lone Ranger, which is slated for release on May 31, 2013. The studio has issued a casting call for its shoot in Shiprock, New Mexico, under the code name Silver Bullet.

Gore Verbinski is directing Lone Ranger from a screenplay by Justin Haythe. Production is scheduled to begin on February 13, 2012.

Lone Ranger comes to theaters May 31st, 2013 and stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Dwight Yoakam. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski.

The Hollywoodreporter also reports, that Billy Ray, the writer-director of Shattered Glass and Breach, has been tapped to write The Thin Man, an adaptation of the classic Dashiell Hammett novel. Johnny Depp is attached to star and Rob Marshall is attached to direct the Warner Bros. project.

Johnny will produce Thin Man with his Infinitum Nihil partner (and sister) Christi Dembrowski. Former Warner Bros. exec Kevin McCormick is producing via his studio-based Langley Park.

Hollywoodreporter reports, that Infinitum Nihil, together with Illumination Entertainment, will co-produce a live-action movie about the life of classic children’s author and illustrator Dr. Seuss (real name Theodor Geisel), author of Books such a How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Horton Hears a Who! and The Cat in the Hat. Keith Bunin has been hired to write the script.

By co-producing the movie, Johnny also has the potential to take the leading role as Dr. Seuss.

It’s been a quiet week for news about the Dark Shadows movie, as principal photography reaches its tenth week. Following more work at the Collinwood exterior set in Surrey, the crew are now back filming at the production’s Pinewood Studios base.

According to recent posts on Twitter from supporting artists and crew, in addition to night shooting earlier this week, work on crowd scenes took place earlier today. It’s also been reported that actor Christopher Lee was on set yesterday, following recent rumours that he was set to appear in Dark Shadows.

Warner Brothers has released the first look at Collinwood Manor, the setting for much of Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows. Filming began in May and it appears that work is nearly complete on the exterior, located in a remote area of Surrey (standing in for coastal Maine) in England, that will be used for the film.
