LACMA’ s new FILM Series in conjunction with FILM Independent which
is responsible for The Spirit Awards as well as these monthly screenings.
Director Bruce Robinson whom blew our minds, confused our souls and
scared the living daylights out of conservative’s in the eighties with his
film ,” Withnail & I ” is the perfect director to deal with this material.
It stars and is Produced by Johnny Depp, whom was a good friend and
kindred spirit of ‘ Gonzo ‘ : writer of Politico, Rock & Roll, Drug taking,
booze ( Rum in this case) drinking fame or infamy really . Check out his
books, articles and Taschen’s picture book with photos of Hunter’s exploits,
Depp wrote the Intro which is heartfelt and personal.We figure this feature
film will also be coming directly from these very experienced sentiments.
