We’ve now had our Johnny Depp forum convention in Germany at the river Elbe August 26-28. You asked for pics and reports, and I can tell you it was great! On Stranger Tides was this year’s motto, of course, and all the visitors were overwhelmed by our decoration and did not regret to have driven even 1000 kilometers to take part.

Countless prices and decoration by Closeup.de and costumes by kostueme-guenstiger.de  made it even better. Also our 3 meters high screen for watching some of Johnny’s movies.

The girls who came awaited a hidden Jack Sparrow motion detector from Closeup. Through a door with Angelica’s sword tossed through, and behind that door, they had to take a slug from our 1.5 meters high fountain of youth out of a chalice of Ponce de Leon (thanks to kostueme-guenstiger.de for that one), of course together with a mermaid’s tear.

After that they could take from the king’s table whatever they wanted, including creamy puff, baiser, fruit cake, and in the evening turkey and rip roast or take a look at our island corner with real beach sand, reed, a mermaid in an aquarium (including bible), coconuts with treasures and…of course…Jack Sparrow.

On Saturday they all had to do a theatrical play about how to get the Black Pearl out of the bottle with “a crossbow, an hourglass, three goats, and man who can play the trumpet while Jack Sparrow goes like this”. Here are the videos for the play, unfortunately they all speak German:

Group 1 (Antje-Ina-Kai-Regina-Satoshi)
Group 2 (Maggi-Melanie-Nadine-Swacy-Tini)
Group 3 (Maria-Naddl-Theresa-Tink)

We all built the Jack Sparrow voodoo puppet and then went outside to catch a mermaid out of the water in a rowboat. Saturday ended with a barbecue on the river and campfire with marshmallows.

After a mermaid (sack) race on the beach the weekend ended much too fast.
