thehollywoodreporter reports, that Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz are set to reunite for the action thriller “Day Drinker,” directed by Marc Webb for Lionsgate. The film will be introduced at the American Film Market this week.

“Day Drinker” is positioned within the action genre and features a strong production team, including Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road, known for their work on the “John Wick” series. Adam Kolbrenner, recognized for films like “The Tomorrow War” and “Free Guy,” along with Zach Dean, who wrote the original screenplay, are also part of the production team.

The story follows a bartender on a cruise ship who encounters a mysterious day drinker, leading both characters into a dangerous criminal world where their lives intertwine in surprising ways.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Adam Fogelson expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that it combines a commercially appealing concept with unexpected twists, and he believes that Marc Webb and the lead actors are perfectly suited to bring this vision to life.

Chelsea Kujawa is overseeing the project for Lionsgate, while Dan Freedman handled the negotiations for the studio. This collaboration marks another partnership between Lionsgate and 30WEST, who previously worked together on the music-themed comedy “Power Ballad,” currently in post-production.

“Day Drinker” will be the fourth collaboration between Johnny and Penelope Cruz, following their previous films “Blow,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and “Murder on the Orient Express.”

Forbes confirms, Johnny Depp is teaming up with Terry Gilliam once again for a new comedy film titled “The Carnival at the End of Days“, which also stars Jeff Bridges, Adam Driver, and Jason Momoa. In an interview with the French publication Premiere, Gilliam, who previously worked with Depp on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, revealed that the film will feature Bridges as God and Depp as Satan in a role-reversal scenario.

According to Gilliam, in the film, God decides to destroy humanity, and the only one trying to save us is Satan because he needs people in hell to have a job for eternity. The director, who was a member of Monty Python, is aiming to start production in January 2025.

While Gilliam did not disclose the roles of Adam Driver and Jason Momoa, he shared more details about Bridges’ character. In The Carnival at the End of Days, God is portrayed as nature that can communicate with humans. Bridges mentioned that animation will be used to bring this nature to life, as there are scenes with at least 15 animals that need to be realistic, making it a complex and costly endeavor.

Well, this sounds absolutely like a Dream Cast, not only Johnny, but also such amazing costars.

Of course we told the truth the next day, but 9 sites had already copied our news and you can still find the rumours in the internet. The funny thing is, that just 8 years later he really played Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts. So there is a slight chance this will happen once again, isn’t it?

So happy to announce that Johnny Depp will play Torrhen Stark in the new Game of Thrones Series about Aegon Targaryen the conquerer. Torrhen Stark, known as the King Who Knelt, was a head of House Stark who reigned as King in the North until Aegon I Targaryen invaded Westeros with his dragons. He was named Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North after submitting to Aegon during the Conquest.

They already did some first shootings and it seems they even gave him one of those direwolves.

We have to celebrate: this website, Johnny-Depp.org, is getting 20 years old today. That’s quite a lot. Johnny-Depp.org is with me nearly half of my life.  So, let’s celebrate!

A little history

this site was opened on February 8, 2004, by myself, Martina, under the name “the Johnny Depp-Archives” with the domain johnnydepp-archives.com. I had the plan to create the perfect Johnny Depp Fansite. Well, it wasn’t perfect at all to begin with. In fact, the layout was crap – because I did not know enough html at that time, the content was in English and German, and my English was really bad, and there wasn’t a lot of content.

Some month later, I could buy the rare domain johnny-depp.org from a fellow fan (Katha).

My html knowledge improved and the layouts went better and better and I even learnt to code php scripts. I switched to the blogging platform WordPress and just coded a very own gallery plugin.

Here are some layouts from the recent times.

For at about 10 years, I had so many good friends who helped me keep the site running and who filled it with content. We were workaholics. There was so much content added and we were often the first who had news.

Back In 2022, Johnny sent a Make-a-wish video for 11-year-old fan Kori. Kori was a huge Pirates of the Caribbean Fan and had received two heart transplants in his life and was in palliative care after his body rejected the transplants.

Unfortunately, Kori went on his last journey now and above is Johnny’s good bye message for him.

Being a mum of a heart child with a big operation, I can really feel into that. My tears are running for this boy and I send a lot of thoughts and love and condolences to his family and friends. You did not deserve this.
