Lily - Rose Depp on Her Stylish Childhood: ‘There Are Baby Pictures of Me Wearing My Mom’s Chanel Pumps’
As the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, it’s no surprise that Lily-Rose Depp is breaking into the fashion and acting worlds head on. And she’s talking about blending the two in her cover story for LOVE Magazine.

In her first-ever official interview, 16-year-old Depp shares that fashion has always been a part of her life – especially considering her unique relationship with Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld.
“Chanel has always been this big thing for me – there are baby pictures of me wearing my mom’s Chanel pumps,” she shared. “I have been lucky enough to know Karl since I was eight – yes, half my life. I have been so lucky to be around him and just talk to him. He makes people feel great. He is a presence. He’s very perceptive; I really feel like he understands people.”

But the actress, who recently made her Sundance Film Festival debut for Yoga Hosers, adds that being in the spotlight isn’t all glamour – especially when it comes to social media.
“I first started using social media when I was 12 or something – not publicly, I had private accounts – but even since then people have been pretending to be me, and my brother,” she tells LOVE. “It’s so annoying. It’s super weird.”

She goes on to say that she has anxiety regarding her social accounts. “I would be much less stressed out without social media. I am constantly afraid of getting hacked. It’s like being afraid of stepping on glass.”
