Johnny Unrecognizable on Set of Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol

News by Johnny-Depp.org

Exciting news for fans of Johnny! The beloved star is making a triumphant return to Hollywood, stepping back into the spotlight as Ebenezer Scrooge in a fresh adaptation of “A Christmas Carol.” This classic tale, originally penned by Charles Dickens, will showcase Johnny as the iconic anti-hero, a character grappling with his past and ultimately finding redemption.

Decked out in a striking blue brocade overcoat and sporting long grey sideburns, Johnny was spotted on set in the UK, looking almost unrecognizable in his Victorian attire. He shared light-hearted moments with co-star Andrea Riseborough, who plays the Ghost of Christmas Past, bringing a warm, festive spirit to the chilly filming environment. Fans can glimpse the playfulness behind the character as Johnny laughed and joked between takes.

This role marks Johnny’s first big-budget film in four years, and anticipation is high for what he will bring to the screen. Joining him is an all-star cast that includes Sir Ian McKellen, Daisy Ridley, Ellie Bamber, Rupert Grint, and many more talented actors, ensuring this adaptation promises something special for audiences.

Johnny has previously remarked on the peculiar nature of his career, expressing that the narrative surrounding his life has often misrepresented his projects. He humorously commented on the idea of comebacks, stating he feels he hasn’t really gone anywhere.

In addition to “Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol,” fans can look forward to seeing Johnny team up with Penelope Cruz in the action film “Day Drinker”
