On April 17th 2004 four lucky Johnny Depp – fans met Johnny on the Ilse of Man, where he was filming the movie “The Libertine” at that time, here is the report written by Lisa (and her sister Jo’s additionss) from Jo’s yahoo-group Heavenly_Johnny_Depp, two of the now happiest Johnny Depp – Fans.

Friday 16th April 2004
My sister Jo, her mate Natalie and I flew into the Isle Of Man on
Friday morning where we met up with a mate of Natalies called
Melina. We were there with only one intention – to get as close to
Johnny Depp as was humanly possible.
We were lucky as the B and B we were staying in was located very
close to the studios where they are filming the Libertine. Once we
had checked into the B and B we drove down to the studios.
We arrived and drove right up to the main buildings where this really
unhelpful guy came to speak to us. He told us Johnny never stops to
speak to his fans and no autographs were allowed. Then, next, we
spoke to the security guard (Warren) who was so friendly. He
informed us that Johnny was not at the studios today but that he
would be there tomorrow and Sunday filming all day. He was very
honest with us and said that he would arrive in a car with blacked
out windows and that the car would probably drive straight passed
us.
We stayed and chatted to Warren a bit and then he asked us if we
would like a tour of the set – I mean did he really have to ask!!!!!
It was amazing – we saw where the crew and actors ate lunch etc and
then went on to the set its self. The set was the theatre, where a
play is put on that Johnny’s character (the Earl of Rochester)
writes. Warren pointed out what boxes Johnny and John Malkovich
(King Charles) would sit in and we saw the stage area. The set did
seem very small but it was amazing to think that this is where Johnny
works!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday 17th April 2004
We got to the Studios for 4.30am in the morning, we thought there may
have been a crowd there! – Extras started arriving to go into make up
at about 6am. We got talking to Warren again who said that Johnny
would be arriving in a silver Audi A8 and that he would probably be
there between 7 – 8.
We put up a Banner that Natz has made on the wall outside the studios
which said – We are your number 1 fans Johnny, please talk to us!!!
We also had a Pirates tee shirt that we put on the wall next to it.
All the cars that went passed looked at the banner and people were
smiling and waving at us – I think they thought we were mad!!!! One
man actually stopped his car and yelled to us “Ive seen him up close,
he looks like a woman!” We shouted back “he doesn’t!” And the
director himself stopped and looked at it for ages!
The first actor to go past was Johnny Vegas – he waved at us and gave
us the thumbs up – he was joking with us making us think that he
thought the banner was for him – of course he knew it wasn’t!!!!!!
We even got brought breakfast by the Caterers!!!!
Then at about 8.15am it all started
