The first time we met (the pic of him in the hat and tan jacket smiling at me) was in columbus WI.
My friend and I had gotten there about 3pm and ten min later we saw him drive to set in his SUV. I remember my friend and I just looked at each other and said “this is going to be a GOOD day!” and it was! at about midnight Jerry told us that johnny would be coming out and shaking hands with everyone and that we could take pictures of him. when he came out my heart was going about a million beats per second! when he finally got to me i asked for a hug and he gave me one, then my friend was able to snap the pic of us smiling after. 🙂 love love this picture.
The second time was early thrusday morning about 4am. I had arrived in Columbus at noon on Wed and was there for eight hours before they even arrrived. I was walking around the set, sitting on the set lol, just enjoying seeing everything and taking pictures of everything i could. then finall at about 8:30pm the PE cast and crew arrived and began shooting. they shot from 9 until 3 and then johnny took an hour to relax. Jerry said pretty much the same thing that he wouldn’t be posing for pics, but Johnny totally did!! as is seen in one of the JD.org Columbus 2008 albums. the convo went something like this: ME: Hey Sweetie! will you take a pic with me?” JD: Of course! (picture) (hug) while hugging, ME: Thank you
JD: (right in my ear) “no, no…..thank you” then we held each others hands for a bit and smiled, i said thanks babe and then he hugged my friend. this was an amazing moment! I didnt know if johnny was even going to come out as it was 4am and raining but because it was his last day of shooting he really made the experience unforgettable. love this man. 🙂
The third time we met was in Milwuakee. i arrived at the set at about 2 in the afternoon and was there until about 6:30 the next morning!! it was an insane amount of time, but i was told by and AD or a PA not sure, that Johnny was in a really good mood and wanted to come out when he was done. by 6am the next day the only people left were two PA’s, Jerry and Johnny, and about 20 fans that stayed the night. He came out about 6:15 and I was the first to get a hug. He looked me right in the eye and before i could breath he said “hello sweetie” i loved this moment sooooo much.
The last and most recent time was in Chicago. I got there about 8pm and hung out at base camp for the night as they were filming inside Union Station. while i was hanging out at base camp i also had the privledge of meeting some of Johnny’s family. Truly nice people 🙂 then at about 1am Jerry asked who had something that they wanted Johnny to sign, and he collected everything and took it to johnny in his trailer to sign. i was lucky to have the pic of our heads together signed…soo cool. then he came outsided…wow. he looked really good this day 😀 he was talking for a long time to all the children…it was sooo very sweet. the kids love him and he loves them right back. really cute. when he got to me i said hi and that it was nice to meet him again. he just kept smiling. then we hugged and we gave each other a kiss on the cheak. my whole face pretty much turned red after that lol. then he held my hands for a bit again and we just smiled at each other. he is turly a wonderful person and so shy and humble. I can not think of any person i have ever met that has the heart the kindness and the humility of Johnny Depp. he is such a well known man for his films, huge star, yet i felt like i could just sit and have a cup of coffee with him. he was so relaxed and nice i relaxed too. 🙂 the timei spent on set was incredible and woth every second. i am a film studies major so i am also totally in to how everything works in the movie process, as well and JD. it has truly been a life changing and humbling experience.
