Latest news is that Johnny will not be in London for the premiere of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus on October 6th. Terry Gilliam, Lily Cole, Tom Waits and Vern Troyer will attend.
The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus in the US
According to ComingSoon.net Sony Pictures Classics plans to release The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus on Christmas Day in the US. It will be a limited release.
The North American premiere will be at the Toronto Film Festival on September 18 and the movie will be released in the UK on October 16.
Relaese Date for the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus ?
Variety com reported that in Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group was found a Stateside buyer.
“They’re advanced talks to pick up “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” with plans for it to go out theatrically, likely this year, via Sony Pictures Classics.”
Let’s hope that there will be a release date for US very soon.
So far the film goes out in the fourth quarter through various distributors in European territories (U.K., France, Germany and Italy) plus Australia and New Zealand.

2009 CoDA event!
This year again there will be an event to help benefit Martin Klebba’s charity CoDA (Coalition of Dwarf Advocacy) It will be held in San Diego on July 23 and Hosted by the pirate group Markedmen, led by the Captain Brandon Hillock (DIsneylands original Jack Sparrow chosen by Johnny himself).

Marty was in all three POTC films and is a friend of Johnny. There will be items this year signed from the actors in the film and also Johnny items donated!!!If you are able to make it to the event it will be a great night to be sure with the premiere of the fanfilm iphone of the Caribbean as well.
