April Fools!

Projects by Martina

Those who have been with us for the last 9 years of course knew it: yesterday’s news about the Costume Test for Black Mass was our 2013 April Fools Joke. Thanks to Nadine for the great photoshop manipulation (who can find the original pic?), and remember, this is how it really could look. I hope, they don’t show the old Bulger in the movie!

Black Mass Costume Test

Projects by Martina

Remember we had the Mad Hatter pic first?

Now we are happy to announce, that we got – exclusively – by our internal source – a first Costume test pic of Johnny as Whitey Bulger in Black Mass, the time when Whitey Bulger was arrested age 81. Unexpectedly, they did the costume test for the “old Bulger” before the Trancendence shooting even started. Maybe, because they will only have Johnny’s voice in Trancendence, or the character is also hair-less, so they already did/will do the next days some Bulger scenes? We don’t know any more details yet, but we hope we can provide you with more info very soon.

Here the pic:

Movies News Projects by Andrea

Johnny Depp’s next film Transcendence will be released on April 25, 2014, Warner Bros. announced Friday.

The film marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Wally Pfister. Alcon Entertainment, which has an output deal with Warners, is financing and producing Transcendence.

Plot details have been closely guarded, but sources describe the film as in the vein of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Inception. Depp stars as a man who creates a computer that develops a malevolent awareness.

Principal photography is set to begin in April in Los Angeles.

Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Aaron Ryder are serving as executive producers. Pfister is Nolan’s longtime DP.

Paul Bettany, who teamed with Depp in The Tourist, is in negotiations to join the project.

First Listen: ‘Son Of Rogues Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys’

General News Projects by Andrea

As its title suggests, Son of Rogues Gallery isn’t the first overstuffed collection of what it dubs “Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys.” The first Rogues Gallery compilation, dreamt up by the Pirates of the Caribbean team of Johnny Depp and director Gore Verbinski, came out in 2006 with the help of an all-star cast; Nick Cave, Sting, Richard Thompson, Bryan Ferry, the actor John C. Reilly, Bono and countless others contributed to a dark, strange, profane and occasionally impenetrable glut of music.

The Album will be available February 19, 2013.

Quentin Tarantino Says He & Johnny Depp Would Love To Work Together

News Projects by Andrea

Tarantino was on Charlie Rose recently and the talk show host asked about how he came to work with DiCaprio and then segued into another question: he was suprised that Tarantino’s never worked with actor Johnny Depp, who like DiCaprio, is one of the biggest name actors in the world. Maybe not so surprisingly, Tarantino said he and Depp have discussed working together in the past and hope to do so some time in the future.

“We would love to work together. We’ve talked about it for years,” Tarantino said of Depp. “Not that we get together and talk about it for years, but from time to time. We’re obviously fans of each other. It just needs to be the right character. I just need to write the right character that I think Johnny would be the right guy to do it with. And if he agrees, then we’ll do it. And then it’ll be magical. I haven’t written the perfect character for Johnny Depp as of yet. Maybe someday I will, maybe someday I won’t. We’ll see.”
