Hitching up their wagons! Filmmakers weave movie magic to build western town in the desert for Johnny Depp’s Lone Ranger
One of the great mysteries of the cinema is how the magic is weaved to bring other worlds to life on the silver screen.
And fans can now see how a gigantic wagon train was despatched into the New Mexico desert to create a Wild West town for the forthcoming Lone Ranger movie.
The remake, which has been championed by Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, is finally shooting after it seemed likely to be cancelled by Disney just last August.

Johnny on the death of Jonathan Frid
“Jonathan Frid was the reason I used to run home from school to watch ‘Dark Shadows,’” Depp said in an email during a break on the set of Gore Verbinski’s “Lone Ranger” in Arizona. ”His elegance and grace was an inspiration then and will continue to remain one forever more. When I had the honor to finally meet him … [he] generously passed the torch of Barnabas.”

Galleries staffer?
Now that we moved the site, I’d again like to put up the request for a new galleries staffer – someone who would like to overtake the complete galleries section of the site.
You should 1. be always=daily up to date regarding new Johnny pics (without the need to be remembered 3 times) and 2. be a fast learner and have the technical knowledge, at least to resize and batch rename pictures, (better – if not I’ll teach you – know FTP, what exif is and maybe even a bit of html). We’ll give you the sources and support.

Red Cross Partners With Dark Shadows
The American Red Cross is partnering with Warner Brothers on the release of Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp to raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood donation and to reward our donors with a once in a lifetime movie premiere experience!
All presenting blood donors at participating Red Cross blood drives from April 16th through May 8th, 2012, can register to win a private hometown screening of Dark Shadows for up to 50 friends. Blood donors will also have the chance to win other Dark Shadows merchandise including theater passes and more!
