Plot Summary
Platoon is about the Vietnam War 1967. Student Chris Taylor is voluntary for the war in the jungle, but fast he realizes that there’s also war on the American side: between the brutal Seargeant Barnes (Tom Berenger) and Seargeant Elias (Willem Dafoe), who stayed human after all those bloody fights, which makes Barnes kill Elias. Chris Taylor wants to take revenge and stop Barnes from killing innocent people and raping vietnam women. Johnny, playing Private Gator Lerner, who is the Vietnam translator, is on Elias’ side, leading the way through the djungle.
