Johnny Depp Network Your number one place and online resource for all things Johnny Depp since 2004!

So, I do NOT intend to start a discussion about political attitudes and which one is the “right” or the “wrong” one and which is the better. There is none! I dot NOT want to start an argument about whether Trump is a “good president” or not.

The aim of this post is to defend Johnny in a way. The internet is full of people either praising or criticizing Trump’s handling and public statements. Many people – townsfolk who isn’t in the public eye, politicians, actors, musicians – are vocal and speak out on Trump and his way of running the United States. Many of them do this publicly via social media, even politicians. Many people criticize him blisteringly and some even become offensive. So, why fuss about it while other actors actually fill their entire Twitter feed with severe tweets about Trump? He’s a normal, human and living person who calls for change in a situation where change is needed.
Edit: Another reason for posting this is to ask you to stop sending me threat directed at Johnny. Even if I could, I would NOT forward them to him. Please remember that this is an admirers’ site dedicated to him and we’re not in contact with Johnny or his management. Your e-Mails won’t reach him!

Below you’ll find a short clipping of Johnny’s comment. I decided to include because I do not want to have anyone believe that Johnny’s becomimng an assassinator. He’s doing what even powerful politicians are doing: asking people to act and change. While at the Glastonbury Festival on Thursday in the English village of Pilton, Johnny brought up the president prior to introducing his 2004 film, “The Libertine.”

“Can we bring Trump in?” Depp says to the crowd, which responds with widespread boos, according to videos of the remarks. “No, no, no. You misunderstand completely. I think he needs help. And this is going to be in the press and it’ll be horrible. But I like that you are all part of it. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? I want to clarify: I’m not an actor. I lie for a living however it’s been a while. Maybe it’s about time.”

Johnny Depp just got his last dime out of me for his pathetic comments about Donald Trump. I thank that you are an evil man that our government should investigate you to see if you might be a threat to the president.
    P.S. So long Mr.Depp.

Johnny is not an evil man, shame on you. He donates to both British and US charities. He was only joking about President Trump. Johnny is known for his whacky sense of humour. He is a good man. Me Trump in the other hand is a racist – he is not listening to the Lakota Native America Nation about the oil pipeline that could potentially contaminate water supplies. Mr Trump wants to keep Mexicans out of the US, forgetting that California was part of Mexico a long time ago. The only positive thing I can say about Mr Trump is his offer to help Charlie Gard and his family.

So very sad that a public figure would make such a violent comment about the leader of our free country. It breaks my heart that people would condone such despicable actions and I hope the public calls him out on this, so very shameful.

Johnny would not harm a fly. His comments were taken out of context. Mr Trump like our UK Politicians are satirised . I commend Mr Trump on his support for young Charlie Gard who needs life saving treatment ; but other than this Mr Trump does not care about people on low wages not being able to afford medical care. He doesn’t care about the environment, this is evidenced by him ignoring the Lakota nations plea to stop the Dakota pipeline which could pollute the water supply.

I have loved you for years and im sorry but the comment you made about an actor killing President Trump was totally Wrong! Keep those options to yourself! I hated Obama and Hilary but i never called for them to be killed.
Oh and by the way, a mentally distraught man just tried to kill republican senators. I think you need to talk back your ideas or lose thousands of fans!

Johnny Depp is like all other “celebs” – Alec Baldwin, Amy Shumer, Bruce Springsteen, Meryl Streep, Stephen Colbert, and the list goes on and on . He overloads his mouth with something stupid and then apologizes later. Typical. When is this silliness going to stop?

Ok. Here’s my two cents. I’m a fan of Johnny. I had been for years, and even now I am still a fan.

However with that said, I cannot defend him on this one. I am absolutely NOT a Trump fan. He’s racist, sexist, arrogant, homophobic, nasty, rude and a whole bunch of other things but I would never wish him harm. It’s wrong to do that, and I’m saddened and heartbroken that Johnny thought that was an appropriate joke.

I love Johnny. He is one of my favourite actors. Johnny has shown over and over again that he is generous, loving, caring and sensitive towards the people he loves as well as his fans. What happened at the Glastonbury Festival doesn’t change that. No, I will not boycott Johnny’s movies in the future. No, he is not going to lose me as a fan. I will always support you Johnny.

Why Johnny do you hate your fans to expose them to this ordeal? We have supported you in everything and you don’t find better than wish death to president Trump. Are you who are manifesting versus the death penalty? Are you the one who thinks love is reason for living or dying. The soul of the person I admired is dead, there is only empty body. I don’t know if there is rehab for this. You were the anti-Hollywood, now you are the worst of Hollywood. Goodbye

I tried to post a comment last week but for some reasons, it had not been published. Here I try again. If I could talk to Johnny, this is what I would tell him, something simple but sincere: Hang in there Johnny. The sun will shine again in your life and you will be happy again. I love you.
