The official video campaign + interview of the latest Dior Sauvage campaign.
Those of you who liked the official Dior Sauvage campaign images, will definitely LOVE the official video and also the behind the scenes/interview footage. Besides putting Parfum in the limelight and retaining Sauvage’s edgy flair, the film artfully captures elements of Native American culture. The campaign was put together by Johnny himself, Mondino and the House of Dior with a political aim of addressing cultural appropriation.
The powerful riffs (played by rock legend Jeff Beck) and tribal beats in this specially remixed song captures the attention of by-standing indigenous Americans. In one scene, we see a maiden (played by Tanaya Beatty of Through Black Spruce) enamoured by the melody. Separately, a Native American warrior (played by Canku One Star, a Fancy War dancer and Rosebud Sioux Tribe member) gets into fight mode, performing a solo war dance to the music aggressively as if ready for combat. The sun soon sets, leaving Johnny accompanied only by the twilight and warmth from a bonfire towards the end of the clip. Make sure to watch!
Additionally, to the advertisement material that has been released last week, a new advertisement image and a short video were posted by Dior on their official social media channels. The image was added to our photo gallery and the video can be watched above.
“Waiting for the Barbarians” is to premiere at this month’s Venice Film Festival in Italy.
It’s said that for almost 20 years film-makers struggle to get investors interested in a film adaptation of Waiting for the Barbarians, JM Coetzee’s novel, dealing with a complex tale of immigration and integration.
Finally, the film, starring Mark Rylance, Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson, is receiving its world premiere at this month’s Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy.
All the actors were motivated by a desire to convey the “message” of the film, as well as explore its “artistic component,” said Andrea Iervolino, one of the producers.
“Another production company was trying to do this movie for 20 years. Then they proposed the idea … to me and Monika Bacardi, my business partner. We loved [it] right away because this movie, like the book, speaks about integration and immigration in a world of division,” Iervolino told the Observer.
“Now all governments try to push away immigration, so immigrants are not really welcome. But this movie will show how important and beautiful integration and immigration can be … We believe that the message which this movie gives is very important, more important than 10 or 20 years ago.”
Johnny portrays Colonel Joll, a heartless bureaucrat despatched by the Empire’s secret service amid claims that the barbarians are preparing to mutiny.

This year, Johnny is the face of the upcoming Dior Sauvage campaign again. He’s already been the one to represent Dior Sauvage last year in 2018 and I’m so glad he’s doing it again. 2 photos of this year’s upcoming campaign have been released and uploaded to our photo gallery.
Ross Halfin took photos of Johnny, Joe Perry and Alice Cooper during the Late Late Show with James Corden.
On Thursday, August 01, Hollywood Vampires performed during the Late Late Show with James Corden (which can be seen in the previous post below). Accompanied by friend and photographer Ross Halfin Johnny and the band were photographed and the results are amazing! Thanks (and credits) to the talented Mr. Halfin. We added the 7 tagged images to our photo gallery. Enjoy!
Hollywood Vampires performed their cover verison of David Bowie’s “Heroes” on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Yesterday, July 30, Hollywood Vampires appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden (shown on CBS) to perform their cover version of David Bowie‘s Heroes for the Stage 56 audience. The leading vocals were, again, sung by Johnny himself.
You can watch the performance in the video above. Enjoy!
As the title reveals, I finally added 89 HQ screen captures of Johnny performing “Heroes” (originally by David Bowie) along with his bandmates Joe Perry and Alice Cooper. The cover song is on the second Hollywood Vampires “Rise“, which was released on June 21.
Hollywood Vampires performed two songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.
Last night, Hollywood Vampires appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s outdoor stage to play two songs: first, David Bowie’s “Heroes” and their own “I Want My Now.” I was glad to see that Johnny took on the lead in “Heroes”, turning it in more than just a heavy metal ballad. He really touched me with his performance – again!
For those of you who don’t know yet, “I Want My Now” is the opening track on the new album Rise (June 21st). The entire album contains 16 tracks, is produced by Tommy Henriksen and is the second full-length effort from the band. “Heroes” will also be on the album.
Make sure to watch the band’s performance on Jimmy’s video above. I also added photos (screen captures will follow!) to the photo gallery. Addition: By the way, I’m super, super sorry for the inconvenience about the gallery. It has been unreachable for a couple of days, due to our site being transferred to another server. Luckily, the gallery is up again.
Dear Johnny,
…on behalf of Johnny Depp Network, I would like to wish you a happy 56th birthday. All the best of everything to you! May you spend this special day with all your beloved ones.
It’s crazy how many messages I receive (not only today!) of people asking me to tell you how much they love, admire, adore, thank you. I really, really wish you could read them. It breaks my heart when I have to tell those people that I don’t have the chance to forward their lovely messages to you. I’m so overwhelmed by the love and gratitude people are able to spread and send out to someone that doesn’t know them at all but has managed to move them, touch their souls and often even change their lives to the better! That someone is YOU.
So, with all the love and words in mind that reach me on a daily basis by admirers of yours and together with the love and appreciation I personally feel for you, I would like to THANK YOU for bringing joy to our lives for years. With you acting, your music, your personality, for being you, for being there. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! The happiest of birthdays, Johnny!
The video for Hollywood Vampires’ “Heroes” cover is online.
As the new Hollywood Vampires album Rise‘s official release date (June 21) is coming closer, the band/its management released the video for their cover of David Bowie‘s song Heroes. What do you guys think? Johnny’s voice is just… wow. Do you agree?
