Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil has signed a first-look deal with Stuart Ford’s IM Global.

The company will be run by Depp and his longtime producing partner Christi Dembrowski as well as Sam Sarkar and Stephen Deuters.

IM Global, whose most recent credits include Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge and Martin Scorsese’s Silence, is financing and co-producing Depp’s next film, Richard Says Goodbye, one of the hottest sales titles on the market at Cannes. Written and directed by Wayne Roberts, the film is set begin production this summer.

Infinitum Nihil previously had first-look deals at Disney and, before that, Warner Bros.

“Johnny is, of course, a globally recognized superstar but, as importantly, we at IM Global love Infinitum Nihil’s idiosyncratic and taste-driven view of the movie-making world and the unique brand that Johnny, Christi and their team have developed,” Ford said Tuesday in a statement. “We’re building this relationship in order to generate great movies for the global audience with a like-minded creative partner, and with IM Global’s reputation as a company that has enjoyed frequent success greenlighting bold films outside of the confines of the major studio system, I feel certain that our newly extended filmmaking partnership with Infinitum Nihil will be a fruitful one.”

Johnny has again shown how to be an admirable actor and role model and a humane philanthropist at the same time. On his 54th birthday (June 09), he visited a children’s hospital in his Captain Jack Sparrow costume in Haiti. I added several personal images to the photo gallery. I also added pictures of his birthday party that day.

Important note: Those images have alredy been spread all over the internet and it is difficult to find the original owners. I do not claim ownership of the pictures and I would really like it if the original owners of the photos would contact me so I can tag (if wanted) their websites, Twitter accounts, Instagram accounts or whatever. You can contact me via e-mail, Twitter, Instagram or by using our contact form. Or if you want any of those removed from our website, I will not hesitate to do so. Just let me know. Thank you!

If you have taken any images of Johnny that day and would like me to add the to our photo gallery, feel free to contact me either. I will give credit, of course!

7 June 2017   Commercials News Projects TV 4 Comments

So, the Japanese beer commercial starring Johnny and musician/actor Masaharu Fukuyama has just been released. Unfortunately, Johnny does not speak in it.

It’s also been revealed that the commercial’s storyline looks quite familiar to some because it equals the plot of an episode of former TV show Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23. Johnny rocks out on his guitar with Fukuyama and their only audience member is a bird. After a while a helicopter appears and they share a beer.

Twentieth Century Fox released the first trailer for its star-studded remake of Sidney Lumet’s 1974 Agatha Christie adaptation Murder on the Orient Express this week.

Kenneth Branagh stars as Hercule Poirot, “probably the greatest detective in the world,” as he describes himself. The trailer introduces the star-studded cast of travelers on the Orient Express, all of whom become suspect after a passenger is found murdered during the journey.

“I see evil on this train,” says Poirot. “A passenger has died.”

Branagh directs the remake from a screenplay by Michael Green (Logan, Alien: Covenant). Lumet’s 1974 original earned six Oscar nominations but only came away with one win, Best Actress for Ingrid Bergman.

The suspects on the train this time around include Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz, Josh Gad, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Willem Defoe, Tom Bateman and Leslie Odom Jr.

Murder on the Orient Express is in theaters November 10, 2017.

Strong international numbers, especially in China, have powered Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” past the $500 million at the global box office.

The fifth installment in the franchise opened at No. 1 at the domestic box office during what was the slowest Memorial Day Weekend in nearly two decades. In two weekends domestically, the movie has earned $114.6 million. That leaves the remaining $386.6 million to overseas earnings to reach its current worldwide sum, $501.2 million.

In China alone “Pirates 5” has made $142.6 million. Russia is the movie’s second highest grossing overseas territory with $30.5 million. Korea is in third with $17.9 million, while the U.K. and France round out the top five with $16.7 million and $15.2 million respectively.

The movie’s massive earnings have pushed Disney past $2 billion in international grosses for the year.

12 April 2017   City of Lies Gallery Movies News No Comments

I added new images of Johnny from the set of his upcoming movie “LAbyrinth” to the photo gallery. The pictures were taken on Monday, April 10.
On some of the images he is spotted toying with a cam recorder and playing baseball. On the others he’s wearing his uniform and smoking a cigarette.

Disney has revealed some brand new character posters for Johnny’s upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which will be in theaters May 26.

By the way, beginning April 21, guests visiting Disney Parks and Resorts will be able to preview scenes from Disney’s rip-roaring adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in sneak peeks planned for Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney Cruise Line. At Disney California Adventure Park, the preview of Pirates 5 will be presented in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land, while Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get to see this advance look at clips from the film as part of the One Man’s Dream attraction. Guests heading out to sea with Disney Cruise Line can enjoy this sneak peek on all four ships.

A new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales promo has been revealed and in it Orlando Bloom resurfaces as his William Turner. Fans last saw him at the end of the third movie where he was forced to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman after his heart was cut out and placed in the Dead Man’s Chest.

The rest of the trailer features Johnny as Captain Jack Sparrow, as well as Javier Bardem’s Captain Salazar looking to exterminate as many pirates as he possibly can. No wonder the new tagline reads, “All pirates must die.” A previous trailer explained why Salazar is out for revenge.

Without words, Michelle Pfeiffer and Johnny Depp give each other the eye in new footage for Fox’s “Murder on the Orient Express.”

The studio unveiled a new trailer Thursday morning at CinemaCon. Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Leslie Odom Jr., Lucy Boynton, Tom Bateman, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi make up a supporting cast for Kenneth Branagh, who stars as Hercule Poirot. Johnny is the murder victim, an American tycoon aboard the train.

“I see evil on this train,” a voiceover intones. The trailer features shots of Ridley, Dench and Odom Jr. in the lavish dining area of the Orient Express. The train soon comes to a screeching halt as Branagh — with blonde hair and a massive grey mustache — begins investigating the murder.
