I uploaded one new poster showing Johnny as Captain Jack Sparrow for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie. I really hope that you love the latest poster as much as I do. Let me know! Enjoy.
First off all, happy belated birthday, Lady Gaga, from Jdorg. I gotta admit, I have always been a huge fan of her – mostly of her acoustic work though. I’m so glad to hear that Johnny got to celebrate with Gaga.
Lady Gaga rang in her 31st birthday in style on Tuesday night by partying with guests including Elton John and Johnny Depp. She hosted a big dinner for her friends at Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California, where her new boyfriend, talent agent Christian Carino, was also in attendance to dote on the birthday girl.
Other guests included DJ Samantha Ronson, while Elton’s husband David Furnish and their eldest son Zachary joined in the fun, too. Gaga is godmother to the six-year-old and his brother Elijah, four, who did not attend the event.
I will NOT post any candids of Johnny arriving at the party or something. I’m still hoping to find some official photos or personal ones from Gaga herself with Johnny. We’ll see.
According to a new report, Johnny will play antivirus software pioneer John McAfee in an upcoming movie about his life.
Deadline (via IGN) reports that Johnny will play the part in the movie King of the Jungle, which will focus on his time at his compound in Belize. The movie will chronicle his time with Wired magazine writer on a journey involving “paranoia, machine guns, sex, and murder.”
King of the Jungle will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Focus), with a script written by The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’s Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The film does not yet have a release date, nor do we know who will star as the Wired writer.
McAfee, in real life, was wanted for questioning in connection with a murder in Belize. In 2015, he announced that he was considering running for President of the United States of America.
A new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales dropped exclusively on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, and it’s clear that Johnny’s Jack Sparrow is in trouble. Starring Depp, Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem and many more, the latest installment in the popular Walt Disney Studios franchise will feature many thrills for fans old and new. In the latest trailer, Jack is running from Captain Salazar (Bardem) while searching for the infamous trident of Poseidon. The fifth installment’s trailer also features Jack getting into his usual hijinks, including getting jailed while wearing no pants and drinking while being chased.
“You will pay for what you did to me,” Salazar says ominously in the trailer.
Dead Men Tell No Tales will be the fifth and final installment in the Pirates franchise. In April 2015 producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared the first image of Depp back in costume. “Captain Jack is back and we’re not letting him go,” Bruckheimer captioned the picture. In the debut snapshot, Depp donned his signature costume, long hair and a scraggly beard and mustache. Depp’s character appeared a little worried as he was tied up to the mast of a pirate ship with henchmen around him. We can only imagine the mess Jack got himself into.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is in theaters May 26, 2017.
Yes, the waiting is over. We finally have some new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales posters showing Johnny as Captain Jack Sparrow again. Check them out!
And same here, I’m sorry again for the delay. I uploaded the latest on set photos of Johnny’s current movie project “LAbyrinth” to the photo gallery. Enjoy!
Johnny Depp thanked fans for their support in a speech at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night – just days after finalizing his tempestuous divorce from wife Amber Heard.
While accepting the favorite movie icon award at the show’s close, Depp told the audience, “I came here for one reason tonight and one reason only. I came here for you, the people, who through whatever good times or bad, you know, have stood by me, trusted me. Thank you.”
He added, “You’ve very, very graciously invited me here tonight. I appreciate that very much – you have no idea how much I appreciate it.”
“I was very deeply affected by the kindness of your recognition and by the well wishes to my family and to myself, which is why it’s especially meaningful to me to be here in front of you and say thank you,” Depp said during his Wednesday speech,”and tell you that I truly feel that need to thank you because in all honesty we all know that none of us, especially me, wouldn’t be standing up here if it wasn’t for you tonight.”
He ended the show with a call-out to his late mother – who died in May 2015 – saying, “Give ’em hell, Betty Sue!”
Bardem’s character will wreck havoc on the ill fated Captain Jack after he escapes from the Devil’s Triangle. The only hope for Jack is to find the legendary Trident of Poseidon, which seems an impossible task considering Jack’s current miserable condition.
The lord of the sea, who was once sailing on the legendary Black Pearl, is now helming a small, dilapidated ship named the Dying Gull. It appears he needs major support from his uneasy allies including Carina Smyth and Henry. It is still unclear whether Captain Hector Barbossa will play a friend or a foe to the crushed Jack.
The synopsis reads: “The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazer (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea — notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Benton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitiful small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has never faced.”
Johnny was spotted filming scenes for his upcoming 2017 movie LAbyrinth in a suit on Tuesday (December 13) in Los Angeles.
The cast and crew shot on a golf course, as Johnny rode around in a golf cart.
In case you don’t know, he stars in the film as a detective who investigates the Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. murders.
I added 5 LQ images to the photo gallery, which are tagged, unfortunately. Enjoy!
Johnny Depp, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone are among the Hollywood stars set to take part in Los Angeles’ latest — and perhaps most curious — addition to awards season.
The actors are set to attend China’s Huading Awards, to be held at L.A.’s Ace Hotel on Thursday (December 15). But before awards analysts start wondering whether they have to factor an odd-ball variable into their Oscars prediction formulas, it’s worth noting the Chinese award show’s unique history and content.
A live awards gala roughly akin to the Oscars, the Emmys, the Tonys, the Grammys and the People’s Choice Awards all rolled into one — with a strong Chinese twist — the event dishes out honors to talent from all fields of entertainment, from stage theater to film, pop music to TV, and even traditional Chinese opera. The film categories, crucially, hand out honors to movies from the year prior, so titles like The Martian, Fast & Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron are among the nominees in the show’s best global picture category this year (nominations tend to have a populist bent).
