Info About New Hollywood Vampires Album

Alice Cooper says he, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry have written “a lot of new material” for their blistering new Vampires album, coming out in June.

The Vampires, Johnny, Joe, and Alice, started out as a tribute band, but this summer they are releasing an album featuring all-new, original, hard rock songs.

Alice Cooper announced to AZ Central, he, Johnny and Joe are recording their new Hollywood Vampires album from December 10 until February 26. That’s the space of time between Alice Cooper’s Pudding Concert and Alice’s return to his Paranormal Tour.

“I would imagine in that time that we’ll be going over to L.A. to record with the Vampires, because the Vampires, I think, are gonna go out in June.”

Alice Cooper described the album to AZ Central as a very hard rock album. Considering Johnny Depp and Joe Perry are providing two guitars as a strong backup for shock rocker Alice Cooper, that should be no surprise.

“It’s gonna be a hard-rock album. I know that. A very hard-rock album. Knowing those guys, their pedigree is hard rock. Joe Perry, Johnny and myself, we’re all sort of classic rock guys. So I think the songs will have a modern tinge to them but they’ll be pretty much classic guitar rock.”

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Still

New images have just been released from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and I don’t know why I missed them. One of the movie stills even features Johnny as Gellert Grindelwald. Better late than never, but I finally uploaded the still to the photo gallery.

Johnny reprises his role of Gellert Grindelwald in the sequel and is seen standing in the street alongside Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech) in the just-released photos.

The sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit theaters on Nov. 16, 2018.

Photoshoot by Ross Halfin

I’m so sorry for the delay, but I finally managed to upload the most recent photoshoot of Johnny to the photo gallery. The images were taken on December 13, 2017 by photographer Ross Halfin, who said on his website:

Last week was in the company of Johnny Depp. I did a big photoshoot, Johnny was of course four hours late. But he did stay another four hours so got a lot done.
Then last Saturday I went to see him play with Marilyn Manson, who I hadn’t seen live for years. Manson was good in an entertaining, dark way.

Fantastic Beasts Director Defends Johnny

David Yates describes Amber Heard as taking a “pop” at Johnny Depp.

When Johnny Depp was first announced as the actor chosen to play villainous Gellert Grindelwald in the new Harry Potter franchise Fantastic Beasts, director David Yates was the very first person to defend the decision. Even as he revealed the news during a 2016 press junket, Yates said, in seeming reference to either Johnny’s highly publicized and nasty split from actress Amber Heard, or mixed reviews of his recent work:

“In this business, it’s a weird old business. You’re brilliant one week, people are saying odd things the next, you go up and down. But no one takes away your pure talent.”

Discontent over Johnny’s casting has only grown among the Potter fandom since the first movie was released—especially since his character was name-checked in the title of its sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Now, Yates is doubling down on his defense of Depp and tackling the Heard divorce head on.

First Look of Johnny as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 2 Photo

With the release of the first cast photo from the next Fantastic Beasts movie, it’s official: Johnny Depp will return as Gellert Grindelwald, the fiend and former love interest-turned-rival to Jude Law’s Albus Dumbledore. What’s more, Johnny’s character has been upgraded to title-worthy villain; W.B. also revealed today that the second film in J.K. Rowling’s second Harry Potter universe series will be subtitled The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Johnny in Marilyn Manson’s “Say10” Video

Which one is god and which one is the devil? It’s a question you might ponder after watching the totally NSFW video for Marilyn Manson’s single “Say10” One sits on a white throne, his face and hair painted a ghostly white, with streaks of black paint across his lips, eyes and cheeks, a cigarette dangling form his crooked grin. The other strides a black throne, his gangly limbs covered with black leather, face also painted in black and white. Both, of course, are surrounded by nearly naked woman crawling all over their perches.

Just another night out with Manson and his best pal, Johnny Depp? Pretty much. The shock rocker has roped his good friend Johnny into his dark shenanigans in the Bill Yukich-directed clip that Manson describes this way in a statement:

“After the balloons have all shriveled up and are swallowed in the puddles of puke and idealism, don’t look to Me for sympathy. I am here to be all that I am accused of not being. And to be blamed for what you made Me. The shots you will hear are from a mouth disguised as a gun. Don’t call this art. This is a hard cock in a room full of vampires and the music, man. The music is My foul blood on your faces.”

Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Still a Possibility

Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Still a Possibility

Pirates of the Caribbean 6 isn’t dead in the water just yet, according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

The future of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is in doubt after the fifth movie Salazar’s Revenge, AKA Dead Men Tell No Tales, relatively underperformed at the box office with a global haul to date of $792 million.

That marks the lowest bounty of the series since the first movie, but Bruckheimer doesn’t think of it as a failure.

“I think it did phenomenal,” he told Yahoo Movies. “I mean, you’re talking about the fifth [film] in the series in a down market, and the American dollar is so strong that we’re getting less returns from foreign [markets].

Johnny Visits Children’s Hospital in Vancouver

He’s done it again – Captain Jack Sparrow took time from his pirate duties to visit patients at a children’s hospital in Vancouver, Canada.

Johnny, in his role as Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie franchise, surprised patients at BC Children’s Hospital on Monday (August 14). According to the hospital’s Facebook page, Johnny spent over five hours meeting face-to-face with patients in the oncology, general pediatrics and neurology wards.

“Meeting Captain Jack was a dream come true for my daughter,” said Sarah Kertcher, mother of 7-year-old Madison, a patient at the hospital. “He never broke character once and was so generous with his time. He was truly here for the kids and it brought tears to my eyes to see how special he made each one feel.”

Johnny’s visit to the Vancouver hospital was not his first time making a unexpected appearance to fans — in 2015, he, dressed as Sparrow, surprised patients at a children’s hospital in Australia.

The fifth and most recent “Pirates of the Caribbean” film was released in May.

On Set of “Richard Says Goodbye” in Vancouver (July 25)

On Tuesday, July 25, Johnny had to get into a lake fully clothed for his latest film in Vancouver, Canada. On that same day, he also visited supporters and admirers downton.

His hair was styled in a curly fashion not worn by the actor in his day-to-day life. The look would soon be ruined by the water as he swam with a swan for the unusual scene. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnny will play ‘a world-weary college professor who is given a life-changing diagnosis.’

The diagnosis causes his character to live a life without limits which encourages a wild streak within him. That description certainly adds more context to the scene Johnny was shooting in the lake on Tuesday.

Johnny Apologizes for Trump Joke

Johnny has issued an apology for a controversial comment about President Donald Trump, asking, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”

“It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,” the actor said in a statement to People on Friday.

Johnny’s joke, in reference to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth in 1865, was made during an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival. “I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living,” he added at the U.K. music festival. “However, it has been a while and maybe it is time.”

Shortly after news broke of Johnny’s comments, the White House issued a statement strongly condemning the joke and calling on others in Hollywood to speak out.
