Despite touring around the globe recently with Aerosmith and speaking with Rock Cellar Magazine about his great new memoir, the guitarist also found time to record a set of holiday songs for his own Christmas mini-album, Joe Perry’s Merry Christmas.

Featuring four festive new recordings (with Johnny Depp on rhythm guitar), the E.P. is available at Perry’s website for purchase.

When Disney finally unveiled the first full look at Johnny Depp’s Into the Woods wolf two months ago, the Internet seemed to be a bit confused. At that point, we had seen the rest of Rob Marshall’s ensemble cast in wardrobe, and costume designer extraordinaire Colleen Atwood had outfitted them all in gorgeous gowns and suits that seemed to pay homage to each fairy-tale character’s traditional provenance. But what exactly was the sartorial seed for Depp’s anachronistic costume concoction, we wondered, with its square suit and fur-fringed fedora? Last week Atwood hopped on the phone with us and explained her and Depp’s whimsical approach to the Big Bad Wolf.

The big screen edition of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved fairy tale-themed musical INTO THE WOODS is coming to movie theaters nationwide on Christmas Day and the official Facebook page just posted a new social media image featuring Johnny Depp as The Wolf and Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood.

Johnny Depp gave a lurching intro to Shep Gordon, the subject of Mike Myers’ documentary Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, in presenting Myers with the Hollywood Documentary Award.

The Hollywood heavyweight and his 28-year-old fiancée were spotted at The Library, a cocktail bar at the Redbury hotel, late on Thursday night. Surrounded by Depp’s friends, the pair settled into seating at the back of the book-lined bar in Hollywood for the after-party celebrating the release of Lost on the River, a new album by music supergroup The New Basement Tapes (which features Elvis Costello and Marcus Mumford).
